on my mind rn
Downtown Brooklyn | Sleek cocktail bar with an industrial vibe, brought to you by the same people behind The Long Island Bar on Atlantic Avenue.
Prospect Heights | Comfort food like meatloaf, mac and cheese, and a snack mix of cereal that’s basically crack.
Brooklyn Heights | Opened in 1939, this longshoreman’s bar is a divey delight where beer comes from the cooler and bartender tales abound. Saturday karaoke is lively (and a must-do) while weekdays are chill.
Ridgewood | Excellent pizza and cozy digs just past the edge of Bushwick—and it’s super affordable.
Park Slope | A cozy little bar inspired by all things underwater. There’s a back patio, an aquarium, frozen margs(!), and a small food menu (with a banging breakfast sandwich).
Fort Greene | Intimate trattoria that opened early 2019 and features a small, ever-changing menu of classic Italian fare with a twist. The guys who own it are the wine menu.
Bushwick | Highlights include the spacious back patio, sangria, and a damn good reuben. Equal parts great watering hole and food spot.
Boerum Hill | The storefront says bodega and the back patio says backyard. It’s fast, it’s fresh, and it’s really good and cheap.
